Grigori Yefímovich Rasputín (1869-1916) conocido como El Monje Loco; Pokróvskoie, Rusia, 1872 - San Petersburgo, 1916. Monje, aventurero y cortesano ruso. De origen campesino y sin ninguna formación, Rasputín adquiririó pronto gran popularidad por su vida licenciosa y su fama de taumaturgo. Alejandra Fiódorovna, quien ya había oído hablar de sus supuestos poderes curativos fue recibido como un hombre santo y en 1905 fue presentado a la esposa del Zar, La zarina pensó que podría curar a su hijo Alexis Nikolaiévich, Rasputín designó a muchos altos funcionarios en San Petersburgo, en 1903.Félix Yusupov y el gran duque Demetrio Romanov, ambos aristócratas querían terminar con quien, controlando a la familia real se había convertido en uno de los personajes más influyentes de Rusia. Yusupov y otros nobles rusos tendieron una trampa a Rasputín para matarlo en diciembre de 1916, y para lograr su cometido necesitaron envenenar al místico, cortarlo, dispararle y ahogarlo en un río.
Marie Bronislava Vorobieff-Stebelska (Russian: Мария Брониславовна Воробьёва-Стебельская; 1892 – May 4, 1984), also known as Marevna, was a Russian-born Cubist painter. She is internationally known for convincingly combining elements of cubism (called by her "Dimensionalism") with pointillism and – through the use of the Golden Ratio for laying out paintings – structure. She tends to be accredited with having been the first female cubist painter. Though having lived the greater part of her life abroad – her formative years as a cubist painter in France and her mature years in England –, she is often referred to as a "Russian painter". From her relationship with the Mexican cubist painter and later muralist Diego Rivera in Paris she had a daughter, Marika Rivera (1919-2010), who herself went on to become a professional dancer and film actress.
